Jump Scare Rating: The comic book theme and state-of-the-art animation (for 1982!) makes Creepshow more fun than scary. Plenty of great special effects, and the anthology-style storytelling make the film super entertaining.

Synopsis: Creepshow is an anthology of five frightening tales ripped from an 80s horror comic book. Father’s Day, The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill, Something to Tide You OverThe Crate and They’re Creeping Up on You are interwoven with a live action/animated tale of a young boy named Billy Hopkins whose father snatches the comic book away from him, insisting he is NOT to read ” that horror crap.” Grounded and angry, Billy sits in his room fuming, wishing his dad would rot in Hell. As the lighting flashes and the thunder rumbles, he becomes distracted by a noise outside his window. Looking up, he smiles as the Creeper invites him to come outside…
