Jump Scare Rating: Quite predictably given the genre, there are some jump scares that are mostly related to the sudden appearance of various creatures. However, unlike the first Meg movie, The Trench doesn’t rely on jump scares quite as much, and is overall much more action-driven than suspense-driven.
Synopsis: Several years after the events of the first film, Jonas Taylor and the research team that he is a part of continues to explore the hidden depths of the ocean under the thermocline layer and cross paths with a shady underwater mining operation.
