Jump Scare Rating: My Blood Valentine has its fair share of jump scares however unlike many of its contemporaries, the movie doesn’t use a loud jump scare sound to enhance them. Scares at 1:03:29 and 1:10:18 are arguably the most significant however even these are relatively minor.

52:28 – Miner coveralls drop from the ceiling startling Sylvia.

52:55 – A corpse drops down in front of Sylvia.

1:02:48 – Hollis yells out “BOO” to scare Sarah and Patty.
