  1. I remember not liking this much the last time I saw it, but clearly I was a fool because this is honestly almost on par with the original?! There’s some awesome practical effects, and I’m willing to bet that if this wasn’t a less popular sequel to a classic movie that Reverend Kane would have been an iconic horror villain. There’s a couple minor things the first one does better but this just feels like a solid natural continuation of the first. 

    I also love that these sequels each have like a unique setting, this one being Poltergeist in the desert and the third being Poltergeist in the city. Personally I’m sad that we never got Poltergeist 4: On the Beach.
